The Migori Diabetes Medical Camp, set for November 16, 2024, at KMTC grounds, is a community health initiative focused on diabetes prevention, screening, and care. Organized in collaboration with the Kenya Diabetes Study Group and Uzima University, the camp will offer free screenings, expert consultations, and educational sessions. It’s an opportunity for Migori residents to gain valuable health insights and support for managing diabetes, promoting a healthier community for all.
As part of its commitment to community health and development, CDS-A will be actively involved in various aspects of the medical camp:
Sickle cell disease remains a major health challenge in many parts of Kenya, including Migori County. Access to quality healthcare is often limited in rural areas, making events like the Save the Sicklers medical camp crucial for early diagnosis, treatment, and management of the disease. By bringing healthcare services directly to the community, we aim to bridge the gap in healthcare access and improve the quality of life for many individuals.
CDS-A invites all community members, healthcare professionals, and volunteers to join us in Awendo on 25th May. Together, we can make a significant impact and bring hope and health to those in need. For more information about the event and how you can get involved, please contact us at info@cds-a.org.
Let's come together to Save the Sicklers and support a healthier future for Migori County!
