HTN/DIAB Screenings 2025 – Organized by CDS-A The Chronic Disease Society of Africa (CDS-A) is proud to announce the HTN/DIAB Screenings scheduled to take place between February and August 2025 across various counties in Kenya. These screenings are part of our ongoing efforts to combat the growing burden of Hypertension (HTN) and Diabetes (DIAB), two of the most prevalent and concerning chronic conditions affecting millions across Africa. Purpose of the HTN/DIAB Screenings Hypertension and diabetes are both leading causes of cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, and other serious health complications. Early detection and proper management of these conditions can significantly improve quality of life and prevent complications. The goal of these screenings is to: Increase awareness of hypertension and diabetes in underserved communities. Provide free screenings for early detection, ensuring individuals can seek timely medical intervention. Offer expert consultations and health education on managing and preventing hypertension and diabetes. Empower individuals with the tools and knowledge to live healthier lives, reduce risk factors, and manage their conditions effectively. What to Expect at the HTN/DIAB Screenings Throughout the event series, attendees will benefit from: Free Screening Services: Blood pressure and blood sugar checks to assess for hypertension and diabetes.
